  • Airline Rules You Want To Know When Your Running Late

We all know that going on that trip to the airport can be a hectic time. I mean after all, if something in your life is ever going to go wrong, it usually chooses this time to happen. It can even feel likeairplane-picture you’re running a marathon race jumping hurtle after hurtle trying to get to your flight before you see it sailing through the sky without you on it.

Don’t you wish during tough times like this you could phone a friend for all of the right answers on what to do next? Well we are your friends that are calling in to give you all of the answers to make your hectic airport trip turn around. Make sure the next trip that doesn’t go as planned, you mention in a calm manner some of these rather unofficial rules that most airlines put into place.

    traffic-imageFlat Tire Rule

This rule gives check-in agents some flexibility to accommodate passengers for being late due to unforeseen incidents. Though the rule is known as the “flat tire” rule, the reason for being tardy doesn’t have to be due to a flat tire. There could be more than usual traffic on the road, an accident holding up traffic or any other reason causing you to miss your flight. There is no documentation needed to prove this.

This is of course an unofficial rule so it is always safe to contact the airline when you foresee that you might miss your flight. It is said that Southwest requires a notification phone call at lease 10 minutes before departure.

    Trip In Vain Rule

This rule is more on the hands of the airline. If for some reason the airline fails to get you where you were headed due to fault of their own, then the passenger is entitled to either a refund, credit, change or compensation.

    Here is an example:

A passenger is flying to Baltimore, Maryland to make a meeting and due to some airline failure the airline was unable to get the passenger to the destination in time for his meeting. There is nowMercedes-Sprinter  no reason for the passenger to go on this trip because he has now missed his meeting. This rule will now take into effect and the passenger is entitled to either a refund, credit, change or compensation.

    The Most Direct Routing Rule

If the airline has some sort of issue — especially if it’s a mechanical issue — and the airline decides to reroute a passenger through a series of hubs, each traveler is entitled to ask the airport for the most direct routing.

Many gate agents will not volunteer this information but mobile apps like WorldMate orTripIt will provide all possible routes between point A and point B.

  • Limo CT-The Judge Holds The Power for American Airlines

When it comes to travel, Limo CT is Connecticut’s and surrounding areas limousine company of choice. Limo CT provides deals and savings to make travel affordable. Traveling can be a hectic time and finances can be tight. Getting cards with accumulate points or frequent flier miles is smart. It can get you discounts on air travel, as well as offering an ally during travel time. However, what happens when your points get “old” because you haven’t use them in a while? A judge makes the end result and Limo CT understands.

Limo CT-Should Your Points Be Revoked?American Airlines AAdvantage Program image

When the people ask for no change, sometimes you lose. CT airport limousine service caters to passengers. American Airlines AAdvantage program had changed it frequent flier rules and miles program back in the 1990’s in the American Airlines v. Wolens case and some folks are still not happy with the end results. It was a Illinois state appointed legal lawsuit, where AAdavantage members protested and lost against American Airlines limitations on miles earned. The case was not one by members and American Airlines beat the battle.

However, now AAdvantage members Karen Ross and Steven Edelman filed a lawsuit on American Airlines AAdvantage program to stop them from converting their old miles into new miles. For example, four new miles would then convert into five miles. What is so wrong about that? Unfortunately there is an expiration date on all things. If the old miles didn’t hold in the arena of time acceptance in American Airline rules, all the old miles would be completely gone. Thus, the frustration of members. Judge Sean Lane, who is the U.S. Bankruptcy judge, threw out the case and reminded everyone that the same issue couldn’t be litigated before, as it was in the 1990’s. Limo CT can understand the members feelings, but that is why it important to know the rules and read the fine print.

Travel Smart With Limo CTTravel Smart With Limo CT

Much noted from cases like these, it is very important to travel smart and know your ropes. Don’t go in blind, find what advantages you get and know the rules. If you choose a card the provides frequent flier miles, know what you are getting into and learn the tricks. Also find out where you can save. If you are traveling through Trumbull, CT to the perhaps JFK Airport, find the limo service in Trumbull to uphold your price quote. Figure the rules for traveling abroad, and how much cost would be if you go over your limit. Limo CT knows the importance of traveling safely but also the affordability needed.

  • Limo CT Reporting The Removal Of Trees For JFK Airport

It is safe to say Limousines of Connecticut is a reliable CT limousine service and passengers are cared for diligently. Moreover, when it is time to fly, safety comes first as well and JFK Airport needs to expand their runway to do so. It leaves us all with the question, environment over human life?

Should We Limo CT? JFK Airport Runway photo with a CT Limo

John F. Kennedy International Airport runway is in plain sight of Idlewild Park, located in Queens, NY. A beautiful park indeed but its trees are causing a safety hazard for the airport. It was proposed to by JFK Airport to extend the runway for the safety of passengers, however that means approximately 700 hundred trees need to be cut down. How do you explain that in regards to environmental issues and passenger safety. Do you think that cutting down all of these trees is a good or bad idea?

    • Trees provide natural carbon storage, and cutting them down leads to a huge increase in greenhouse gas emissions.
    • The timber provides material for the lumber and building industries.
    • The land that is cleared of forest now becomes available for agricultural use as farm or grazing land.
    • Trees store carbon when growing and give off oxygen. Completed wood products, like cabins, floors, and furniture, continue to store that carbon and keep it out of the atmosphere for decades.

Limo CT drives passengers to and from JFK Airport on a regular daily basis, and it makes you stop and think. Passenger safety always comes first for Limo CT and JFK is thinking the same. Both the Federal Aviation Administration and Queens Borough President Helen Marshall do not want to see trees cut down but if it keeps flyers safe, what else can be done?

    Limousines of Connecticut Understands

CT airport limousine service imageThe environment is very important, but flight safety is as well. If trees were in your way from getting to the airport in your airport limo service it would cause a problem. Imagine the concerns of JFK Airport for its millions of passengers every day? Taking your Connecticut town car sedan to and from the airport, and departing and landing carefully is of top priority.  If you have to travel from say Hartford, CT taking your Hartford limo and endure a long flight, unharmed traveling is one of the first things you think about, right?

Of course! Limo CT wants passengers to always be held in high regard and be thought of when it comes to your care.

  • Limo CT Helps Passengers From The American Airline System Shut Down

Limousines of Connecticut has an on point scheduling a reservation system, however nothing as big as American Airlines. Since we live in a informational world and rely on computers for almost everything, when they mess up we suffer. Limo CT makes getting to the airport easy but what happens when you get to the airport and systems are down?

    American Airlines Reservations Shut Down

Sitting AA planes at the airports photoThis is a true story, American Airlines reservation system shut down nearly 24 hours ago. With cancellations flying all over the place, CT airport limo was at the rescue. However, couldn’t save everyone. They ran out of hotel vouchers and people had to camp at airports, sleeping on chairs, floors and cots given from the airport staff—some people waited over 15 hours for their flight to reschedule. It was chaos, but there was nothing American Airlines could since the computer had all the control.

Passengers Took To The Social Streets

Social media broke out to a frenzy, with folks who were stranded or left with no or lost CT airport limousine service imageluggage, and raided the airwaves. Facebook comments and tweets were bombarded with complaints and suggestions. Our Milford limo went back and forth talking and messaging with passengers needing their limos to come back and get them or go pick up family and friends from the airport or even have to put their limousine service on hold.

Limousines of Connecticut was happy to do what we could and comfort some of the passengers who had to endure this hectic time. If only we could’ve helped them all, but things happen unfortunately and there are times where you have to roll with the punches.
